Abstract:

One of the most urgent societal problems that still affects civilizations around the world is drug usage, which transcends age, gender, and socioeconomic background. It describes the regular abuse of substances, such as prescription pharmaceuticals, illegal narcotics, and even alcohol, which causes harm to one's body, mind, and emotions. Drug misuse has a negative influence on families, communities, and economies in addition to its immediate effects on individuals. Given the seriousness of the problem, several stakeholders in India have had to work together, with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment leading the charge.
