SDG-16 in action: A state-level analysis of Gujarat

Abstract:

This research evaluates Gujarat's progress towards achieving SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. By examining key indicators such as crime rates, access to justice and institutional effectiveness, the study aims to assess the state's strengths and weaknesses in building peaceful, just, and inclusive societies. The paper analyzes the underlying factors contributing to Gujarat's performance and identifies potential challenges and opportunities. Furthermore, it provides recommendations for policy interventions to enhance the state's capacity to achieve the goals of SDG 16. Ultimately, this research contributes to a comprehensive understanding of Gujarat's development trajectory and provides suggestion based policymaking ideas for sustainable and equitable progress in this domain.
