This study aims to examine the impact of health infrastructure on access to healthcare in Cameroon, using data from the 2018 Demographic and Health Survey (DHS), which integrates both quantitative and qualitative information on health and socio-economic conditions. A logit model is employed to assess the influence of explanatory variables, including geographic accessibility, the quality of healthcare personnel and equipment, and geographic and financial barriers. Preliminary diagnostic tests, such as the Wald test and multicollinearity assessment, confirmed the validity of the model, and robust estimation techniques were applied. The results indicate that geographic accessibility and the quality of healthcare personnel significantly enhance access to care, whereas financial barriers continue to pose a substantial challenge. The study strongly recommends reducing healthcare costs and improving health infrastructure, particularly in rural areas, to broaden access to health services for all populations.
