Author(s):

Duan Yumeng

Abstract:

Virginia Woolf, a renowned female British author of the 20th century, is widely known for her influential contributions. Orlando: A Biography, one of her most iconic works, is hailed as a feminist classic and a pioneering narrative that explores the concept of "the second sex" from a literary perspective. This paper, grounded in feminist translation theory, compares the translation strategies employed in two Chinese versions of Orlando: A Biography, with the aim of contributing modestly to the study of feminist translation and the study of the Chinese translations of Orlando: A Biography.
