A comparative study on the emotional maturity between the students of govt and private school at senior secondary level

Abstract:

Education is the progress of physical, cognitive, mental, social activity, emotion, and wisdom of student sustainability. The adequate instruction makes good quality human resources for a rapidly developing country. Emotional Maturity is a process in which the personality is continuously striving for greater sense of emotional health both intra - psychically and intra personally. “An emotional mature person is one who is able to keep a lid on feelings. He can hurt with in silence. He can bid his hour in spite of preset discomfort. He is not subject to swing in mood, he is not volatile. When he does express emotion, he does so with moderation, decently and good order “.
Emotional maturity is the ability to bear stress, tension and it is the ability to develop high tolerance for disagree circumstance. It involves recognizing emotions, responding appropriately, and taking responsibility for one’s actions. The researcher worked to find out the dimension of emotional maturity between the students of govt and private school using the standardized tools framed by Dr Yashvir Singh and Dr Mahesh Bhargava. In this study, the researcher through random sampling selected 100 students of senior secondary school of govt and private schools of meerut city. The researcher found that there is a significant difference between the emotional maturity of the students of govt and private school. According to the study of the mean values of govt and private students we found out that the govt student had higher level of emotional maturity than the private students due to carefree environment and less subjects in curriculum.
