Abstract:

Purpose: The primary goal of this paper is to investigate and determine how transgender individuals' (TIs') demographics affect the research. The study also looked at the issues, livelihood strategies, and quality of life experienced by transgender individuals. According to the Samara organization, transgender people face discrimination at work place, economic resilience, family support and other issues.
Methods: The questionnaire contained information regarding education, discriminations due to gender identity, livelihood opportunities, economic stability and the health and well-being of the transgender. Further, histogram, measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion, percentiles, χ^2(chi-square), Cramer’s V statistic, contingency co-efficient, pie chart, and bar plots are used to measure the data.
Results: The study is done using a sample of size 50. The χ^2 statistic, Cramer’s V and contingency co-efficient statistical tools reveal that there exist significant variation and high degree of relationship between the variables. The histogram of age indicates that most of the respondents belong to the age-group 26-35 years. The measures of central tendency indicates that the weighted arithmetic mean of age is 33 years and the median age is 31. Th measures of dispersion indicate that variance is 41 and standard deviation of age is 6.4. The 25th percentile is 38 and the 75th percentile is found to be 46.
Similarly the histogram of the transgenders being engaged in current livelihood strategy indicates that most of the respondents are engaged in their current livelihood for 12-24 months. The measures of central tendency indicates that the weighted arithmetic mean of is 35 months and the median is 42 months. The measures of dispersion indicate that the standard deviation of is 19.8. The 25th percentile is 29 and the 75th percentile is found to be 55.
