The intellectual extremism among university youth (Causes and solutions)

Abstract:

In this research, we addressed the phenomenon of intellectual extremism, which is one of the dangerous phenomena that threaten the security of society as a whole. In fact, the extremism of some youth in their opinions, ideas, and attitudes towards certain social, political, and religious issues is a phenomenon that has existed in all societies since ancient times. The university is part of society, and its relationship with it is one of influence and being influenced. It is certain that the youth represent an important element of the political movement in any society, and they are the most age group influenced by the factors of change that society experiences during its development. In the research, we discussed the concept of intellectual extremism and its causes through family, society, education, politics, media, economy, religion, and thought. We then proposed solutions to address the phenomenon of extremism and concluded with a list of sources and references.
