Women’s education plays a pivotal role in the overall development of tribal communities by empowering women to break free from social and economic constraints. In Mayurbhanj, a tribal-dominated district in Odisha, women’s education has emerged as a key factor in driving positive social transformation. This article explores the status of women’s education in Mayurbhanj, the challenges faced by tribal women in accessing education, the impact of education on their lives, and the role of government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in promoting educational opportunities. The study also discusses the socio-economic and cultural outcomes of increased women’s education and suggests policy recommendations for enhancing educational participation among tribal women.
