In today's society, the internet is beloved by teenagers due to its anonymity and convenience. When teenagers use the internet for learning, entertainment, or socializing, they are prone to becoming addicted because of their physical and mental characteristics and the influence of the external environment, leading to internet addiction. By summarizing the concept of internet addiction, its causes, its harms, and the measurement and diagnosis of internet addiction, this paper aims to provide a deeper understanding of internet addiction among teenagers.
