This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of teaching methods in improving language skills among sixth-grade students, with a focus on the impact of these methods based on variables such as gender. The descriptive analytical approach was used to achieve the research objectives, with data collected from a sample of 60 male and female students in the sixth grade. A scale was used to measure the effectiveness of the methods employed in teaching English concepts and improving language skills. The study results showed that the teaching methods did not show statistically significant differences in improving language performance compared to the hypothesized mean. However, the results of measuring skill improvement indicated a significant increase in language performance among students, with statistically significant results when comparing the means with the hypothesized values. It was also found that there were statistically significant differences between males and females in both teaching methods and skill improvement, with females outperforming males in both areas. The study also revealed a strong positive relationship between teaching methods and skill improvement, indicating that effective teaching methods lead to significant improvement in students’ skills. Based on these results, the researcher recommended the development of teaching methods to better meet the students’ needs and providing specific support for males to enhance their academic performance, along with promoting interactive training that contributes to improving language skills.
