Question is a critical skill for teachers because it is the most common form of interaction between the teachers and the students (Wang, 2006). However, extensive studies focused on college English classes while junior high school classes get little attention. Thus this study analyzed a high-quality English speaking and listening class from the "One Excellent Teacher for One Subject, One Subject for One Excellent Teacher' activity through classroom observation and discourse analysis. The features of questioning types and strategies used in the class are explored. The findings are expected to provide some useful experiences and suggestions for researchers and English teachers.
